Tasting Notes: Made exclusively from Pinot noir, the nose shows a more friendly and inviting character than the more traditional MCCs made with Chardonnay. The colour naturally reflects the Pinot Noir with a festive pink hue.
The nose shows strawberry, pink grapefruit topped with grilled brown sugar ending with notes of a tropical mix.
This brut wine has a soft easy entry and gives the impression of the addition of crème de cassis to make a Kir Royale. The sugars and acids are in fine balance and the flavours of ripe strawberries, cherry stone and caramel will put in an appearance.
Viniculture: The 2015 vintage Pinot Noir base comes from a 2 Ha block planted to clone 115. Bottled in crown caps after 6 months in barrel Aug 2015. Riddled and disgorged in July 2017 after 2 years fermenting in bottle.
