Next month, the Hermanus Wine & Food Festival (HWFF) celebrates its 18th birthday with a stellar lineup of over 50 wines producers with more than 250 wines, affording visitors a unique opportunity to discover a cornucopia of exceptional Overberg estates, varietals and vintages. Routinely voted one of South Africa’s Top 10 Wine Festivals, whether you’re a well oaked oenophile, serious collector or simply love the fermented grape, HWFF is the perfect way to discover this emerging region – and the passionate people behind the wines.
Delicious gourmet meals, snacks and deli goodies will be available to satisfy your wine inspired appetite. Cleanse your palate with an array of handcrafted beer and ciders or tantalize your taste buds at the first ever Gin-avaria pub. Sample an exotic cocktail. Or two… Talented local musicians add to the ambiance and there’s even a kiddies corner to keep the tots happy while the adults enjoy a tipple. Make a weekend of it, stay over and explore the hidden treasures of Hermanus: look out for the majestic Cliff Path art and whale tails.
We are looking forward to sharing the subtle magic of Lothian Vineyard Selection Pinot Noir (which recently won a silver medal at the Decanter World Wine Awards) and Isobel Rosé with you – look out for us at the Liquidity table with Lismore and Almenkerk.
